At AlmaVia of Camarillo, we’re proud of our devoted team members, and we want to get the word out about what makes them so special. We’d like to introduce you to four of our extraordinary staffers who were recently honored as Employees of the Week.
Veronica Verduzco is a member of our memory care team who loves to get to know our residents. Veronica, a med-tech, takes time to find out what makes each individual special, and she emphasizes meeting residents’ needs with patience and compassion. She’s always willing to lend a hand to other team members.
As an assisted living med-tech and resident assistant, Cristina Vera loves interacting with our residents. She’s a caring individual who demonstrates genuine interest in residents’ lives, working hard to bring a smile to people’s faces. Cristina is a diligent worker and takes great pride in doing her job well. She hopes to become a registered nurse one day and loves spending time with her family.
Crystal Ruiz works as a life enrichment assistant in assisted living and memory care at AlmaVia of Camarillo. In addition to helping advance the quality of life for residents with special programs, she also serves as the primary driver, transporting residents to shopping, doctor’s appointments and other activities. Crystal exhibits an infectious love for life and spreads joy to everyone she meets. Her interests include cooking, dancing and spending time with loved ones.
Resident assistant and assisted living med-tech Zamanta Nix loves interacting with residents. In her six months with AlmaVia of Camarillo, Zam has developed a personal relationship with each resident and treats everyone with respect and dignity. Each day, Zam is the living example of her motto, “Keep on Smiling.” The daughter of a long-time staff member, Zam loves getting a little bit muddy as she rides her dual-sport motorcycle off-road.
