Mercy Care Center
If you or a loved one is recovering from a debilitating illness, stroke or surgery, a short-term stay at our Care Center can help you get back home quickly. Our high-quality rehabilitation program includes physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, as well as nutritional services from registered dietitians, with programs developed to meet each resident’s particular needs.
Our philosophy creates a culture of long-term and short-term care by approaching it as a collaborative partnership between caregivers and care receivers. Our staff identifies where they can engage residents in activities at their pace and at their level so residents get the medical assistance they need, plus the personal engagement and social interactions they want.

Understanding Medicare’s 5-Star System
The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help those looking for care compare and evaluate SNFs. These ratings provide a snapshot of three considerations when choosing a facility: health inspection history, staffing, and select quality measures.
- Health Inspections: This rating contains information from the last three years of onsite inspections, including standard surveys and complaints.
- Staffing: This rating measures the hours of care given to each resident per day by RNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
- Quality Measures: This rating reports the facility’s performance on 17 physical and clinical measures.
