Great Place to work certifiedThe Transforming Age Network including Elder Care Alliance is pleased to announce that their national non-profit network has received the Great Place to Work® certification after completing a rigorous 60-point survey of all team members across 80 affiliates. The certification is a testament to the organization’s strong culture and commitment to the Culture of Excellence©, a platform that unites all of their 3,000 team members and around the organization’s mission, values and goals.

“I’m truly proud of the workplace culture that all of us have built at Transforming Age,” says President and CEO Torsten Hirche, “The Transforming Age Culture of Excellence© is the fabric that unites our team members and diverse array of affiliates, connecting the dots between our mission, values, strategic goals, expectations and team. Together we are creating an authentic and high-performing workplace culture that cultivates leaders and attracts top-tier talent.”

The Culture of Excellence© has long been a part of Transforming Age’s 68-year history. Originally developed by a task force of team members from all departments, the pocket-sized booklet celebrates and memorializes a set of shared values: integrity, teamwork, respect, grace, fun, innovation, and accountability. These shared values guide team members through tough decisions and labor-intensive work, while empowering the everyone to do the right thing and find joy in their service to the mission.

“The Great Place to Work® certification is a huge accomplishment for our network,” says Karen Brandt, VP of People at Transforming Age, “But the results are not surprising. We come to work everyday and have the privilege to make an impact and have fun.”

The certification process involved surveying 100% of team members across all Transforming Age affiliates and evaluating more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.
