Q: How long have you been part of the San Rafael family and what is your role?
A: I started in February 2013 as a resident assistant and still enjoy that role and being here for the residents.
Q: What does a typical day look like?
A: I help residents get dressed and washed up for the day and also help with serving meals. I like to fix up their hair and makeup and paint their fingernails. I also get involved with resident outings and try to be around and help them with any assistance needed.
Q: What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
A: Getting appreciation from the residents and knowing that I can make them happy and receive that love back. I enjoy being around the residents and staff – they are like family to me. Every day counts, so I always make the best of it!
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognitions?
A: I was selected to part of the New Employee Partners pilot program, a four-month leadership development course for partners who serve as guides to new team members. I was proud to be part of the first graduating class and learn how to improve my leadership skills.
Q: How do you relax and unwind after work?
A: On my days off, I like to go on hikes and walk my precious dog, Titan.
Q: Finish this sentence: “If I didn’t work at AVSR, I would …”
A: Like to be a store manager at Macy’s. I love fashion and jewelry!
