Skilled Nursing in California
The Medicare-certified skilled nursing care team at Mercy Retirement and Care Center provides 24/7 professional, short-term rehabilitative stays and long-term skilled care in a comfortable, home-like setting.
Person-centered Care Approach
Our person-centered care approach values each resident as an individual, preserving their dignity and supporting their independence.
Our Care Center services include:
- 24-hour licensed nursing
- Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
- Long-term residential care for higher levels of medical services
- Post-surgical care, including IV therapy and pain management
- Specialized wound care
Person-Centered Care
The key difference between Mercy Care Center and other communities is focusing on person-centered care. Care team members look to our residents to determine how they want to pace their day versus applying a medical structure.
This philosophy strives to change the culture of long-term care by approaching it as a collaborative partnership between caregivers and care receivers. Our staff identifies where they can engage residents in activities at their pace and at their level. This allows residents to receive the medical assistance they need, plus the personal engagement and social interactions they want.
Short-Term Rehabilitation
If you or a loved one is recovering from surgery, stroke, or debilitating illness, a short-term stay at our Care Center can help get you back home as quickly as possible. Each room in our skilled nursing Care Center offers a beautiful garden or patio view to make the rehabilitation stay more pleasant. Our high-quality rehabilitation program includes physical, occupational, and speech therapies, with protocols developed to meet your particular needs.
Long-Term Care
Our long-term care program provides around-the-clock medical care and significant assistance with daily activities in a comforting, restorative environment. Services cater to a wide range of physical, emotional, and social needs.
The team provides support, companionship, and care like at home rather than in a medical setting. In addition, residents have access to physical, speech, occupational therapists, and nutritional services from a registered dietitian.
